After weeks of upsets, close games, and surprising runs, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament has officially come to an end, leaving many fans reflecting on how their brackets turned out and what they thought of this year’s tournament.

Like most fans, Tony Rinkiewicz’s bracket didn’t go exactly as planned. Early upsets and unexpected wins quickly ruined many predictions, which is a common experience during March Madness. The unpredictability of the tournament once again proved to be one of its most exciting parts.

Looking back at his bracket, Rinkiewicz admitted it didn’t last very long. “My bracket was pretty bad this year. It got messed up early with all the upsets,” he said. Like many others, he struggled to predict the outcomes once lower seeded teams started beating higher-ranked teams.

Even though his bracket didn’t go well, he still enjoyed the tournament overall. “It was still a really good tournament. There were a lot of close games and some crazy moments,” Rinkiewicz said.

One of the biggest takeaways from this year was how unpredictable it was. Underdog teams made surprising runs, and even top teams faced tough competition throughout the tournament. This kept fans engaged from the first round all the way to the championship.

“Even if your bracket is ruined, it’s still fun to watch because you never know what’s going to happen,” Rinkiewicz said.
