With the results from the 2020 election, would it be reasonable for education in order to vote? Imagine a young person in a voting booth attempting to vote, but not having any idea who or what they are voting for.

To provide knowledge behind a vote can potentially lead your mind to a different opinion other than what you read and see on social media and the news. There are countless adults who are clueless which has a horrible outcome in the end.

Research has shown how a majority of voters are young people who do not know what they are truly voting for. The 2020 election was based on a tremendous amount of unfortunate events that President Trump was blamed for. The media continues to frame people for the wrong reasons with fake news. People will continue to stay uneducated and believe everything they hear and see online and on television. Personally, I think the election would have been completely different if people used their own studies and knowledge behind their opinions instead of wanting to fit in and agree with everybody else.

Both Presidents were framed for the wrong reasons and continue to be blamed for multiple different things. If people took the time to have their own opinions, the world would be a different environment right now.

Some might say that this might lead young voters or people who are not fully into politics could be seen as not voting for the elections every four years. With the thought of having to pass a test or complete a survey before voting, may recede them from voting because they either simply do not care or do not have the time to do it.

Letting people vote without education leads the world to the wrong place. The media strictly lets your mind believe what they put out without context or backstories to anything. Having a group of uneducated and brainwashed voters will take a toll on this country and it will continue to lead the world in the wrong place.

I believe that before the next election in 2024, the government should propose the thought of education in order to vote and see how the world feels about it. The brainwashed and media voters will most likely lean towards no because the world is playing how they want but hopefully the strong opinionated voters will produce the knowledge the world needs to see.
