The EHS Class of 2026 is preparing for graduation as cap and gown order links are now available on the 2026 Classroom page. Seniors must submit their $24 payment by Friday, May 15th, while optional graduation lawn signs are also available for purchase for $36 and are due Monday, May 18th. As graduation approaches, many seniors are experiencing a mix of excitement, pride, and sadness while getting ready for one of the biggest milestones of high school.
Graduation is an important moment for seniors because it represents years of hard work, memories, friendships, and accomplishments finally coming together. Students will wear traditional EHS graduation colors, with girls dressed in white cap and gowns and boys wearing red cap and gowns during the ceremony. These colors symbolize unity, one last school spirit, and the transition into a new chapter of life.
While many seniors are excited about graduating and beginning college, careers, or other future plans, leaving behind teachers, classmates, and familiar routines can also be emotional. Ordering caps, gowns, and lawn signs makes graduation feel more real for many students as the countdown to the ceremony continues.

“I’m really excited to graduate and move on to new things, but it’s also sad knowing high school is ending,” said senior Kaylee Aguilera.
The final months of senior year often bring mixed emotions. Many students are looking forward to summer and their future goals, but they also realize they may not see some classmates every day anymore. Graduation traditions, such as caps, gowns, and lawn signs, help celebrate the achievements and memories seniors have made throughout their high school years.
“Senior year went by a lot faster than I expected, and now that graduation is close, it feels both exciting and a little sad knowing everyone is about to start their own journey,” said senior Addyson Petry.
As graduation approaches, many seniors are beginning to realize how quickly their final year of high school has passed. While students are excited for new opportunities after graduation, they are also reflecting on the friendships, memories, and experiences they shared throughout their high school years. For many seniors, graduation is both a celebration and an emotional goodbye as classmates prepare to follow different paths after the ceremony.
As the EHS Class of 2026 prepares to walk across the graduation stage, caps, gowns, and lawn signs, serve as reminds that the end of high school is not only a celebration of accomplishments, but also the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities, change, and lasting memories.
