The Emerson Girls Basketball team has put together a strong stretch of games earning big wins through tough defense and teamwork.  The Cavos have held several opponents to low scoring games, and are staying in control throughout games.  The girls are now 13-2 on the season and 7-0 in the American NJIC division. The Cavos have won 8 straight.

Leading the way are Gabby Micucci, Mackenzie Dillon, and Jillian Canino who have provided steady scoring while Kylie Grompone has contributed with rebounding and strong play in the paint.  Their balanced effort has helped Emerson stay consistent on offense.

Recent wins over Saddle Brook, Midland Park, Mary Help of Christians, and Dwight Englewood highlight the Cavos’ progress.  In each game, Emerson built early leads and maintained focus on both ends of the court.

When asked for her thoughts about the team this year, Gabby Micucci said, “Everyone contributes and we stay focused in every game. ”

She added, “I think we can make a run in the tournament.”

As the season continues, the Cavos are focused on improving each game and finishing strong.  The Emerson Girls Basketball team looks ready to make a big run this season.
