Since 1872, the Emerson Hotel has been standing strong being one of the biggest landmarks Emerson has to offer. Placed right in the middle of town, it originally served as a hotel, then the Emerson’s town hall and police station, and in 1946, finally turned around into the beloved restaurant it is today. 

The Emerson Hotel has been around, serving as a place of comfort to our community, by offering casual dining, live entertainment, and an old style bar, where people connect, gather, and make memories. Most people would describe the Emerson Hotel as a comfortable atmosphere and has been passed down by many generations who will still make each time known for being a warm place with warm, welcoming servers and chefs.

My mom, who has worked at the Emerson Hotel for about five years as a bartender, stated, “It is a place where people join together, socialize and develop a camaraderie with one another. It is a comforting community where strangers become friends and friends become like family.” 

She also shared, “While working at the Emerson Hotel, I too gain this comradery as I learn about everyone’s lives and become friends with them myself.” 

This restaurant holds dinner reservations, celebrations, or daily hang outs to get oneself food or drinks. The Emerson Hotel is especially known for their signature sliced steak sandwiches and hand-tossed, thin-crust pizza.

Even as new businesses open and the town continues to grow, the Emerson Hotel Restaurant remains a symbol of consistency and community.
