Teacher Appreciation Week is a special time for Student Council members! This week, we recognize the hard work and dedication teachers put in both inside and outside the classroom. The Student Council planned an exciting series of activities to show their gratitude and thank our teachers.
Activities Planned:
- Friday, May 1st — Decorating: To start the celebration, students decorated the teachers’ lounge.
- Monday, May 4th — Teacher Clap-In: Students put out a red carpet and played upbeat music. When teachers walked into the building, they were greeted with a round of applause!
- Tuesday, May 5th — Cinco de Mayo Celebration: Chips, salsa, and guacamole were brought into the teachers’ lounge to celebrate the holiday and have a feel-good snack!
- Wednesday, May 6th — Ice pops & Breakfast Sandwiches: To start the day on a positive note, administrators and students handed out ice pops and breakfast sandwiches for teachers to enjoy.
- Thursday, May 7th — Sweet Treats: Students baked and purchased desserts to give to teachers.
“I really enjoyed the homemade breakfast sandwiches by Mr. Ponchak, Ms. Murphy, and Mr. Hutchinson. It made my morning and made me feel very appreciated,” said Ms. Brentnall.
“I brought in cupcakes to show my appreciation for teachers and let them know how much their hard work means to my peers and me,” added Aniya Young.
We are ecstatic to show teachers that they are appreciated within our school community!
