Emerson, New Jersey has always been known as “The Family Town”. Countless remarkable establishments have made it possible for millions of memories to be created here. Though Emerson has been going through many changes recently, there are places that seem to have stayed forever, and have warmed many hearts over the years.
Rispoli Pastry Shop is one almost everyone can remember purchasing from at least once. Established back in 1937, this adorable spot has a wide variety of desserts to choose from. Delicious cream puffs, flaky lobster tails, and of course, their famous cannolis are some of their best sellers.
Angela Ware stated, “I’ve been going to Rispoli’s bake shop for about 15 years, since I’ve lived here. They always have a great variety of items, their food has always been fresh and delicious, and they’re open 6 days a week. You can’t go wrong!”
She went on to explain the abundance of desserts she would often bring to gatherings – a quick yet delicious way to celebrate with family. Clearly she isn’t the only one either!
Olivia Abbate said, “I remember a lot of good times getting food there for holidays, like for Thanksgiving or Christmas or Easter at my grandma’s, we would always get a box of desserts. It was just something we always did.”
She went on to explain, “I looked forward to their chocolate dots because they were my favorite. I still do every time I go to Rispoli’s. My grandfather looked forward to their raspberry dot cookies because they were his favorite, and he would enjoy them with me.”
Rispoli’s, being a family company itself, has done so much to bring people together, whether they know it or not.
