The year 2025 has been a super eventful one, but there is one key element that got me through it, which is concerts. Concerts are one of my favorite events to attend, making music come to life. I try to go to as many concerts as I possibly can every year and continue to make memories, but I do have some favorites from 2025.
My first favorite concert of 2025 was seeing The Weeknd at MetLi
fe Stadium. This concert was such a great experience, making the audience truly come alive. From the lasers and strobe lights to the dancers and visuals, the nighttime atmosphere was touching. The Weeknd makes specific songs to reach a certain audience, such as Cry For Me and Heartless. During the concert, it was clear to see how fans were deeply connected to the music by their facial expressions and the way they sang the lyrics.
My second favorite concert of the year was seeing Rufus Du Sol at Red Bull Arena. House music brings everyone together, and finally being able to go to a show like this was truly special. I am a very big House, Techno, and EDM fan, so being able to witness live sets a
nd crazy transitions was awesome. Rufus brings such a good vibe to the atmosphere, creating meaningful yet so fun songs, truly making every one of their shows special.
Last but not least, my third favorite show of the year was Lil Tecca at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Lil Tecca is a super popular rapper who brought the vibes up during his performance by performing some of the songs I grew up with, such as Ransom and Did It Again. This was a smaller venue, which is always exciting because you are surrounded by people to the hip and everyone is in a great mood. His performance and introductio
n to his show were extremely memorable and amazing to watch because of the location, and it was my first time seeing him perform.
Music brings many different types of people together, which is why I enjoy music so much. Concert tickets are more than just the price when you are at the checkout screen. It is about the experience and the people you choose to spend the experience with, and the reason you are choosing to do so.
