Emerson Jr./Sr. High School was very excited to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week this year as it is a special time dedicated to spreading positivity and goodwill throughout.
Random Acts of Kindness Week is so important as it encourages students, teachers, and staff to embrace and practice kindness in their daily lives. Kindness can really go a long way, even if it is something as simple as holding the door open, smiling, or even sharing a compliment.
Student Council played a major role during Random Acts of Kindness Week as they organized the ways this week was able to be celebrated.
The Student Council honored kindness week by handing out hand-made cards to all teachers and staff. These were made by students within the Council, as a way of spreading the message of joy to brighten up the staff’s day as they were thanked for their appreciated work.
Ms. Nakis and Mrs. Biondo, the co -advisors of Student Council also noted that, “We were supposed to do rock painting, but due to the weather we were unable to do it.”
Ms. Nakis and Mrs. Biondo, stated after asking what kindness week means to Emerson, “For everyone to be respectful towards one another, to help out another classmate if they see them in need. To show empathy and compassion for others, and to enjoy each other to have a positive school environment and Cavo spirit.
One kind act at a time, Emerson Jr./Sr. High School has taken on Random Acts of Kindness Week, and continues to spread the good will as the year goes on. Spreading joy, showing empathy, and working together ,Emerson makes our school a place where everyone feels appreciated.
