Top 5 Boutique-like Stores in Bergen County

Bergen County is home to an abundance of trendy clothing stores, and these are the ones on top. I am a shopping-addict, and I love to hear about new places to shop. Young girls in Bergen County are always searching for new places to shop too, so I hope some of my favorite stores could give them some ideas.

  • Mixology — Closter

Mixology is a chain store and I have only visited the location in Closter. Whenever I walk into Mixology, I am kindly and appropriately greeted by the employees. They are always quick to ask if I need help finding anything, and once they see me with an item, they immediately ask if I would like to start a fitting room.

They have the cutest skirts and tops to match here. Also, they have lots of tie dye apparel, which is in style right now. Although the clothing here is pricey, it is appealing and the quality is great.

  • Ruby and Jenna — Closter or Montvale

Ruby and Jenna is a chain as well and I have visited both of these locations listed above. I am kindly greeted every time I walk into either of these stores, but there are usually only around two employees working at a time, which is not enough to me. The clothing here has much more of a retro vibe, but I always find cute pieces like going-out tops and flare jeans. The biggest downfall of this shop is that the changing rooms are very tiny, so there is not a lot of room to lay out all of your belongings and clothes you are interested in trying on.

  • Hazel Boutique — Ramsey

This company was started by two young and respectable sisters, and they have expanded their store to other locations in New Jersey (Belmar and Long Beach Island). Although the store is small and it is always chaotic there, the employees are always kind and helpful. Their logo is “Hazel” and they make and sell the most comfortable sweatshirts and sweatpants with this logo. As well as those more comfortable pieces, they have trendy going-out tops that I love and they sell other pieces of clothing that distinguish themselves from other boutiques.

  • Threads — Westwood

Since Threads is closer to where I live than these other boutiques, I tend to visit it more often. While some of the clothing here is trendy, the quality is not the best. The employees here are helpful, but they tend to be judgemental if they do not know you personally. If you are shopping for a recent college commit, they have a large selection of cute clothing for various colleges.

  • Ginger N’ Cream — Westwood

Four different stores make up Ginger N’ Cream: the kids store, the adult store, the young contemporary store, and the home/decor store. This separation between the different types of clothing is very nice, and makes shopping more efficient. The pieces in all of these stores are cute, but definitely a little bit costly. Fortunately, they have a floor in the young contemporary store dedicated to sale items!

There is a common factor in the Ginger N’ Cream stores, and it is the employees. They are on top of you the entire time, and it gets very irritating, but aside from this, these stores overall are decent.

Although there are other stores in Bergen County, these are some of my favorites and I hope other people find pleasure in shopping at these places like I do!
