Nowadays, pickleball has become a super popular game that many play. It is all over the place, from advertisements, social media, and word of mouth from friends. Many people head to the courts to play with their family and friends all the time. As the trend continues, more people have begun growing a passion for the game and liking it. I always play pickleball with my friends whenever I have free time.
All you need is one to four people and a bottle of water to have a great time on the court. Hawaii Pickleball states, “In 2026, pickleball stopped being a boom and started being a business. A real one — with institutional capital, global tour infrastructure, formal governance, adaptive sport inclusion, and the kind of demographic depth that sustains a sport for generations.” (HawaiiPickleball).
Playing the game itself is super effortless and the perfect thing to do on a summer day with your friends. The equipment is easy to find and purchase, as simple as heading to a local Five Below or Walmart. As the game is very easy to learn and catch on to, this makes more and more people want to play every day.
There are names for the play areas like “the baseline” and “the kitchen”, and for shots like “dink”, “volley”, “drive”, “lob”, and more! Of course there are rules about scoring, but the really important part is to just have fun!
I am looking forward to the warm weather and continuing to have a great time with friends and family members outside playing pickleball.
Getting outside and finding a tennis court is the easy way out!
