On Friday, October 10th, 2025, the Pep Rally brought the school together to honor athletes, celebrate teamwork, and give senior cheerleaders one final chance to lead the crowd.
The annual event, organized by student council, highlights the accomplishments of spring sports while boosting school spirit before the season’s biggest game: Senior Night.
With the performances by the band and cheer team, and activities presented by teachers and students, the rally not only recognizes the students’ achievements, but also strengthens the sense of unity and pride that defines the school community – especially for seniors experiencing their last spring pep rally before graduation.
Mikaela Tucker – Student Council member and one of the head senior cheerleaders – gave her point of view and shared her experience about how pep rallies are important for school spirit.
She explained, “Pep rallies bring together not only the individual grades, but also the whole school.”

Tucker’s words capture the true purpose of the event – to unite students beyond the classroom and grade levels. Throughout the pep rally, the excitement from the crowd and the energy from each performance created an atmosphere of pride that every student could feel. From the loud cheers echoing through the gym, to the synchronized routines from the cheer team, the event reminded everyone the importance of supporting one another.
For cheerleaders like Tucker, it was not only a chance to lead to school one last time, but also leave behind a legacy of spirit, teamwork, and community.
“I want to lead by example and show our new teammates that while there is a lot of responsibility that comes with pep rally, it is one of the most fulfilling parts of being a cheerleader and nothing feels better than hitting a routine in front of your entire school,” Tucker shared.
Tucker’s dedication reflects the leadership role senior cheerleaders play in inspiring younger teammates. The commitment to teamwork and school spirit shows how each performance they do is more than just a routine – it is a moment to represent pride, unity, and hard work behind every cheer.
Even as the lights dimmed and the mats cleared, the echo of cheers symbolized more than just a performance – it marked the strength of a school brought together by spirit!
