As the school year comes to an end, the Class of 2025 is ready to celebrate an unforgettable milestone. Arriving in cap and gowns, June 19th, 2025 will hold immense value for these students. Not only is it their last day of high school, but the day of their graduation ceremony. Graduation is not just a ceremony, but a gateway to new opportunities, challenges, and beginnings.
Each student will leave high school with their own story – a journey shaped by challenges they have overcome, friendships they made, and goals they achieved. With college around the corner, many are filled with a mix of excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead.
At college, Alyssa Gabriele is most excited to, “Meet new people and be involved in a lot of clubs.”
Attending college can be viewed as the catalyst for entering adulthood. For the first time, these high schoolers will be away from home and on their own. They will make new friends, expand their knowledge, and learn more about themselves. With students attending universities across the country, each student will encounter unique experiences that will help them accomplish their personal and academic aspirations.
Dereck Rezabala shares his plans after high school, “I want to go to Felician University to become a nurse practitioner.”
While these changes can be accompanied with uncertainty, they also come with the feeling of freedom. This is the time in students’ lives to explore, discover, and get out of their comfort zone.
Amelia Teigen discusses her perspective on graduating, “Although I look forward to years to come and their potential, I will miss being able to see my friends every day and the support I get constantly from Emerson teachers and staff.”
The Class of 2025 will have a lasting impact on Emerson High School. With involvement in band, theater, sports, and countless clubs, these students worked hard for their achievements and will continue to be as successful in their post-high school careers.
As many Emerson High School alumni would say, “Once a Cavo, always a Cavo”.
