Although the school year has already started, there’s always time to learn about the new teachers. Here’s more to discover about business teacher, Mr. Mazzeo:

As the only business teacher in the building, he teaches multiple different classes from grades 9 through 12. Prior to his current teaching career, at college, he always knew he wanted to be a teacher, but he also had a strong love for finance. After graduating from college, Mr. Mazzeo worked throughout the financial services industry in various roles.

Mazzeo started his teaching years at Sayreville Memorial High School. He explains how fortunate it is to have experienced a variety of cultures in New Jersey.

“I can’t imagine doing anything else but teaching now,” said Mazzeo.

“One thing I noticed about Emerson High School is that the students are genuinely happy. That’s probably the result of living in a great community.”

Even in a new environment, he points out the positives of the new community, “One thing I noticed about Emerson High School is that the students are genuinely happy. That’s probably the result of living in a great community.”

In his free time, Mr. Mazzeo loves spending time with his family consisting of his beautiful wife and two children. In between all that love, he enjoys a long bike ride.

Mazzeo is also a quote collector and one of his favorite quotes is from Steve Jobs: “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”
