Most people have heard of Rick and Morty. But is it as good as everyone says, or is it just another over-hyped animation?

Contrary to belief, Rick and Morty is actually a great show! It is lighthearted with serious themes like Rick’s struggling relationship with his daughter, Beth (although there are various versions of Beth, and Rick, and Morty…). Rick and Morty has everything from action-packed adventure to Morty’s teenage struggles.

Many people have an issue with Rick’s vulgar language, but I feel it humanizes him and shows that he is who he is – despite judgment –  and that is very inspiring. Justin Roiland an American voice actor voices Rick. Fun fact, he also voices Earl of Lemongrab from Adventure Time and Blendin Blandin in Gravity Falls!

When asking a classmate about this show, senior Colin Pattermann stated, “I am so hype Jerry (the dad of Morty and Summer) was finally appreciated in the new season.” Colin, amongst, other students seems to really enjoy the show.  In fact, the room itself became – uh, animated when we started discussing various episodes and situations.

Season 7 is not out yet, but look for it on Netflix in Summer 2023.

Overall, Rick and Morty has something for everyone!
