CDC Says Vaccinated People Do Not Need a Mask Inside
May 25, 2021
Recent news from the CDC says that vaccinated individuals in the country do not need a mask inside.
The CDC says, “ Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities — large or small — without wearing a mask or physical distancing.”
This is exciting news for all, especially because of how long we have been waiting for the moment for things to be remotely close to- normal which we have not had in so long.
“If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things that you had stopped doing because of the pandemic,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky said during a White House Covid-19 briefing. “We have all longed for this moment when we can get back to some sense of normalcy,” CNN says.
The most important thing that we could get from this is that if we focus on getting as many people vaccinated as possible there will be progression and growth in our country which is the most important thing and is something that everyone wants.
CNN states, “The Israeli study, which was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, showed the vaccine was 97% effective against symptomatic Covid-19 and 86% effective against asymptomatic infection in over 5,000 health care workers.”
Although this is giving most people a chance to get back to normal, it is still important for people who are at a higher risk or immunocompromised to make sure they are still wearing their mask in order to keep themselves safe.
The Mercury News says, “People who are severely immunocompromised are told they must remain fully masked and take extra precautions to be protected from all manner of pathogens, and they wish the rest of us would mask up to protect them, too.”
Overall, with such a hard year behind us, we are finally starting to move forward and flourish as a country and within our communities.
