Stephen Curry was born in Akron, Ohio, on March 14, 1988. His dad was in the NBA and he learned how to play from him. Steph did not receive any scholarships from major college basketball teams and attended Davidson.

He averaged 21.5 points per game as a freshman to lead all first year players in the country. In his sophomore year, he led Davidson to the Elite 8 of the NCAA tournament. He entered the 2009 NBA draft and he was selected by the Warriors as the 7th overall pick.

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors passed Wilt Chamberlain for the most points scored in a Warriors uniform. He has 17,940 points as of April 19th.

“To be anywhere near him in any record book or now be on top, it’s surreal and it’s wild,” Curry said after the game.

Curry has played twelve seasons in the NBA, where he is a seven-time All-Star, two-time Most Valuable Player, and a three-time NBA champion with the Warriors in 2015, 2017, and 2018.

The game when he passed Wilt Chamberlain for the scoring record, Curry finished with 53 points over the Denver Nuggets and won the game. He made ten -3 pointers, which was more than the entire Nuggets team made that night.

Golden State is 26-28 with a .481 win percentage. A win percentage is the percent of games that team has won.

Curry is averaging 29.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.3 steals while shooting 48.3% overall, 41.2% from beyond the arc, and 92.4% from the free throw line. To calculate the shooting percentage, take the amount of times a player has scored and divide it by the attempts.

Stephen Curry having the most points scored in a Warriors uniform is a big accomplishment.
