The New York Jets have an intense couple weeks ahead of them, and they need to decide who will be there next head coach. After a miserable two years with Adam Gase, Joe Douglass, the Jets General Manager, has decided to move on. Adam Gase is probably one of the worst coaches this organization has seen, and a brand new coach can fuel this team for the upcoming season. Luckily for the Jets they have great options to fill their head coaching needs, and a lot of these candidates have Super Bowls on their resume.

The fifth best pick to be the Jets head coach is Arthur Smith, who is the offensive coordinator for the Titans. Smith has led the Titans to numerous playoff appearances, and his football IQ is extremely high. The Jets need a coach that is going to care for the whole entire team and guide them to a ring. Smith has guided Derrick Henry to 2,000 rushing yards this season, and that in itself is remarkable. Smith can help this team get on the right track, and make the Jets a winning franchise.

The fourth best pick to be the Jets head coach is Brandon Staley, who is the Rams defensive coordinator. Staley has been known for winning, and he has led the Rams to a Super bowl and many playoff appearances. The Jets defense is extremely young and Staley can help mentor a lot of these young players. The down-side of Staley is that on the Rams he has the two best defensive players in the league which are Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. Staley will not have amazing players on the Jets defense, and he will be missing his Pro Bowl superstars.

The third best pick to be the Jets head coach is Eagles former head coach, Doug Pederson. Surprisingly, after bringing the first Super Bowl to the Eagles in 2016, he has been fired after a horrific season with the Eagles. Pederson worked with Joe Douglas, the Jets General Manager, and they won a Super Bowl together. This would make a lot of sense if the Jets chose Pederson, but the downfall is that the Jets would be hiring another fired  the coach. Last time the Jets hired a fired coach it was Adam Gase, and that did not work out at all.

The second best pick to be the Jets head coach is Eric Bieniemy, who is the Chiefs offensive coordinator. Beinmy is behind one of the best offensive teams the NFL has ever seen, and his addition to the team would be a miracle. His intelligence and offensive ability could transform the Jets franchise. This would hopefully lead them in the right direction, and make the Jets a playoff team. The Jets have already interviewed Beinmy, and could be a fantastic option for the job.

The best pick to be the Jets head coach is Robert Saleh, who is the 49ers defensive coordinator. Saleh was one of the reasons why the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl, and he worked with players such as Richard Sherman and Nick Bosa. Despite the 49ers losing key players due to injuries, Saleh maintained one of the best defenses in the league, and that is very impressive. Saleh is a great leader, and he can unite the Jets into a winning team.

What the Jets lacked in a head coach was enthusiasm and excitement. Adam Gase barely even cared for the organization, and he did not get along with numerous players. All of these candidates would be great for the Jets, but some stand out more than others. The frontrunners for the Jets job are Eric Bieniemy, and Robert Saleh who can help the Jets a lot. Hopefully the next Jets head coach will have a positive impact on the team, and lead them to the playoffs.
