The 2020 NFL season has been a nightmare for the New York Jets and they have a lot to discuss in the upcoming weeks. The Jets coaching staff has been facing a lot of criticism because their team has the worst record in the NFL, and they keep losing week after week. The Jets head coach, Adam Gase, mentioned that the team that he sees in practice is not the team he sees on the field every Sunday.

The season looked extremely promising for the Jets in the summer, and they had a very talented team. The Jets best player that is arguably the best player in football, Jamal Adams, got traded to the Seattle Seahawks in August. This was such a devastation for Jets fans because he was so beloved by New York. When Jamal Adams got traded, Jets fans knew that this season was going to go downhill. In return for Jamal Adams, the Jets got Bradley McDougald, and a couple other draft picks.

With the Jets missing their Pro Bowl Safety, they knew that something had to be done in order for this team to win. The Jets were training crazy hard in practice but in the games they could not pull it together. Every week the Jets would get blown out, and some games they could not even score a single point. The Jets have been the laughing stock of the NFL, and the team that won back to back division  championships a couple years ago is now the worst team in the league.

The main word for the Jets this season has been injuries, and so many crucial players have been injured. To start off, the Jet’s best linebacker, CJ Mosley, opted out of the season due to Covid-19, and he did not want to infect his family or his friends. Players like Sam Darnold, Breshad Perriman, Le’veon Bell, and Mecki Betcon have all been injured. All of these injuries have caused the Jets a lot of damage, and they need their star players back.

When the Jets thought that nothing worse could happen, they traded their start running back Le’veon Bell to the Kansas City Chiefs. Now the Jets running back is Frank Gore an all time great but he is not as good as he used to be. In addition, the Jets had to start back up Joe Flacco for a couple of games because Darnold was out with a shoulder injury. When Joe Flacco started, they lost 24-0 to the Miami Dolphins.

This leaves the Jets in a very interesting dilemma which is that they could get the first pick in the draft if they are the worst team. Many people are predicting that the Jets will get this pick, and they might be able to get quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence is a college champion, and he is extremely talented. If he joined the Jets he would make a large impact, and he might help this team win some games next year.

This Jets season has been very upsetting to fans, so hopefully next year will be better. All of these injuries have caused the Jets play very poorly and all of their momentum is gone. The Jets trades have also made them suffer, and they are without some of their best players. To wrap up, it is clear that the Jets season has been going very badly and hopefully they can turn things around
