After a long anticipated summer, football Sunday’s are back! As the 2019/20 NFL season begins, fans start getting back into the swing of NFL Sunday and supporting their favorite team weekly. Throughout the first three weeks, fans have seen some new prospects enter the league and show what they are capable of. As well, fans have seen some new hot teams that can be contending for a playoff run later in the season with some impressive scores early on. According to ESPN, listed below are the week 1 match ups. 

NFL Week 1 Scores: 

  • Packers vs. Bears: 10 – 3 
  • Chiefs vs. Jaguars: 40 – 26
  • Falcons vs. Vikings: 12 – 28 
  • Titans vs. Browns: 43 – 13
  • Bills vs. Jets: 17 – 16
  • Ravens vs. Dolphins: 59 – 10
  • Redskins vs. Eagles: 17 – 32
  • Rams vs. Panthers: 30 – 27
  • Colts vs. Chargers: 24 – 30
  • Bengals vs. Seahawks: 20 – 21
  • Giants vs. Cowboys 17 – 35

Week 1 had some hot new prospects showing their worth throughout the games. Rookie Marquise Brown of the Ravens had 4 receptions for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kyler Murray, rookie QB for the Cardinals, threw for 308 yards with 2 touchdowns in his NFL debut. He also rushed the ball 3 times for 13 yards. Rookie running back Josh Jacobs for the Raiders scored two touchdowns through 83 rushing yards. Steelers rookie linebacker Devin Bush Jr. recorded 7 tackles in his season debut. Lastly, rookie wide reciever for the Titans A.J. Brown had 3 receptions for 100 yards.

Week 2 was interesting as some new stars stepped up and proved their worth in the NFL. Marquise Brown continued to perform with 8 receptions for 112 yards and another touchdown. Quarterback Kyler Murray who is a rookie, threw for 349 yards with 25 completions against the Ravens.

In week 3, there were some of the same prospects and some new ones. In this week, we saw many new quarterbacks get game time due to injuries. Rookie qb for the Jaguars, Gardner Minshew, threw for 204 yards with 2 touchdown throws. Jacoby Brisset throws for 310 yards and two touchdowns this week. Kyle Allen, rookie back up QB for the Panthers, threw for 261 yards and 4 touchdowns in his first NFL start. Daniel Jones in his first NFL start threw 2 touchdowns and 336 yards and a win. 

Throughout the first three weeks, there have been some interesting games. Fans will see whether their team can continue to perform or will drop down while others rise. Stay tuned to see how the rest of the season unfolds as its only been three weeks and there is so much left to play for.
