The holiday season is fast approaching and the halls of Emerson High School are filled with the spirit of giving. Every year Emerson gives gifts to an organization in need. This year students and staff are donating gifts to the AIDS Resource Foundation, located in Newark, NJ. For over 30 years this organization has provided comprehensive family-centered services to individuals, families, and children affected by HIV/AIDS and other social and health related illnesses.

“This has been a tradition at EHS for the past several years,” stated Mrs. Diebner, one of this year’s organizers.

Gift tags specifying items that the children wish for can be picked up at the main office.  They should be unwrapped or placed in a gift bag and dropped off at the guidance office.

“The school is always anxious to help other organizations and there is also a giving tree located in the main lobby for the soldiers overseas,” Diebner added.

The deadline for participating is December 15 and everyone is encouraged to stop by the main office and pick up a tag so you can help put a smile on a child’s face this holiday season!
